Touch: The Journal of Healing

Introduction

Welcome to the 2015 Spring/Summer issue of Touch: The Journal of Healing.  We offer our humble apologies for the lateness of the release of this issue.  For reasons which we cannot go into in detail, life threw us more than a few curve balls this past spring and summer, and though the journal was never far from our minds, we were forced to focus all our energies on overcoming them.  Again we apologize for this delay.

In many of our past issues we have published the work of at least one physician, but in this issue, the works of three physician poets and writers are featured, Maureen Hirthler, Ariela Sarah Taub, and Dianne Silvestri, and we have one attorney writer, Julia C. Spring, as well.  In addition,  three poets from this issue have two poems featured, and for the first time, we feature three prose stories.

We are always intrigued by the life perspectives that healthcare and other professionals bring to their writing.  Often, their professions provide unique insights into the dynamics of interpersonal relationships and the inner workings of the mind when faced with adversity.  The work you will read here is no exception.

Thank you for joining us this issue.  We thank all our contributors for their invaluable contributions.
