Gary Charles Wilkens is the author of The Red Light Was My Mind, published in 2007 by The Texas Review Press. His poems have appeared in the anthology I Was Indian (before being Indian was cool) from FootHills Publishing, The Southern Poetry Anthology, Volume II: Mississippi from The Texas Review Press, as well as numerous journals, including Adirondack Review, The Cortland Review, The Prague Revue, and MiPOesias. He is the co-founder and poetry editor for The Externalist, and currently Assistant Professor of English at West Virginia University Institute of Technology in Montgomery, West Virginia.
