Remedy

    By Kaveri Patel

give me your problem list

all your dirty laundry

don’t hold anything back, not

even your most intimate lingerie

I don’t need to clean anything

or buy you a new wardrobe

what you’re wearing is just fine

your symptoms don’t have to match

you don’t get an A+ for Appearing well

or an F for Feeling ill

maybe you can just tell your story

and I’ll try to understand

maybe we can just sit together

and remember how it feels

to breath, to be heard

to hold one another’s hand
